    Marcella A. “Sally” Hohrein, 77, of Lebanon, IL, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

    Sally was born March 13, 1939, to Louis and Rosa (nee Nungesser) Kehrli, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL. On April 28, 1959, she married Norbert Hohrein at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

    She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon, IL. She also belonged to the Highland Historical Society, several church organizations, and the Emerald Mound Grange.

    She didn’t know a stranger. Sally was a good person with a heart of gold, helping anyone she could.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren; loved baking and cooking—she was known for her pies.  She was a Farm wife and supported her husband.

    She is survived by her husband, Norbert Hohrein, Lebanon, IL; 3 daughters, Ellen (Lenny) Reinacher, Lebanon, IL, Sara (Mike) Baer, Trenton, IL, Nicole Hohrein, Lebanon, IL; 1 son, Nicholas (Debbie) Hohrein, Lebanon, IL; 5 grandchildren, Jessica (Dereck) Driemeyer, Monica Reinacher, Joshua (fiance Jen Berkemann) Vrell, Kyle and Tyler Hohrein; 2 great grandchildren, Logan and Brady Driemeyer; nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Rosa Kehrli; her sister, Caroline Wall; her brother, Albert Kehrli.

    Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Cemetery, Heartland Hospice, or Alzheimers Association.

    Visitation: Monday, March 28, 2016, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday, March 29, 2016, from 9:00 to 10:00 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL

    Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, March 29, 2016, 10:00 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL
