    Kenneth F. Widicus, 93, of Trenton, IL, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at his residence.

    Ken was born March 3, 1924, to Andrew and Ella (nee Auer) Widicus in Lebanon, IL. On June 4, 1952, he married Ruby Seibert at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Lebanon, IL.

    He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Lebanon, and the St. Clair County Farm Bureau, Soil Conservation. Ken received an Award of Merit for outstanding accomplishments in Resource Conservation.

    He was a life-long farmer and was a John Deere fan. He was a co-owner of Happy Day Kennels with his family. He also worked for McKendree College for a short time.   He served in the Navy (May 1942-Jun 1945) during WW II on the USS Bunker Hill as a flight mechanic.

    He is survived by his Wife, Ruby Widicus, Trenton, IL; Daughter, Diana (Michael D. Davis) Widicus, MD, Springfield, IL; Grandchildren, Michael Andrew (Destiny) Davis, Megan Anne (Korhy) Flanary, Jane Marie Davis, Nathan Henry Davis; Great Grandchild, Oliver Patrick Flanary; Nieces and Nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his Parents, Andrew and Ella Widicus; Daughter, Nancy Jane Widicus (1977), due to complications from diabetes; Sisters, Carol Sue Naumer, Mary Lou Widicus; Brother in childhood.

    Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

    Visitation: Monday, May 22, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and Tuesday, May 23, 2017, from 9:00 to 10:00 am, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Lebanon, IL.

    Funeral Service: Tuesday, May 23, 2017, 10:00 am, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Lebanon, IL.

    Clergy: Rev. Dr. Don Wagner, Pastor.

    Interment: Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
