    Howard B. "Hal" Haller, 59, of Pocahontas, IL died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007 at his place of residence.  He was born in Dayton, Ohio, August 4, 1947 to Howard A. and Ruth Ella (Frederick) Haller. 

    He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Viet Nam.  He retired from the CSX Railroad, formerly Penn Central Conrail after 30+ years.   He was an avid fisherman; enjoyed cooking for friends and family and was well known for his "Chicken & Dumplins".  He will be missed.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Howard A. Haller, and a stepson, Danny Willmirth.

    He is survived by one daughter, Nikki Lynn (Tom) Haller-Goodall of Greenville, IL;  one son, Howard C. "Hallie" Haller, of Texas;  his Mother, Ruth Ella (Frederick) Haller-Kolak of Pocahontas, IL; eight grandchildren, Kayhla Haller, Greenville, IL;  Katelyn Basinger, Georgia;  Haley Haller, Texas;  Richy Waldron, Herrin;  Ashley Wright, Texas;  Christopher Haller, Texas;  Karrah Haller, Texas;  Elizabeth Haller, Texas;  two sisters, Barbara Winters (Special Friend, Larry Clayton), Pocahontas, IL:  Sandi Janic, Breese, IL.

    Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the May Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.

    Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 @ 11:00 AM at the May Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Devrick officiating.  Burial will be in Hug Cemetery, Millersburg, IL

    Memorials may be offered to Bond County Hospice.
