    Hazel D. Zucca, 84 of Greenville, IL formerly of Pocahontas died Sunday, July 8, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.  She was born in Pocahontas on July 29, 1922 to Charles Richard and Eula (Schmollinger) Gillespie, and both are deceased.  She married Deno Zucca on January 5, 1946 in St. Louis, MO and he died July 5, 1958.

    She is survived by two daughters and three sons - Carol (Joe) Heilig, Pocahontas, Charles "Chuck" Zucca, Pocahontas, Deno (Vicki) Zucca, Highland, Todd (Diane) Zucca, Hartford, and Tina (Russell "Dewey") Aper, Pocahontas; 16 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild, and dear friend - Leander "Hank" Weber, Greenville.

    Also preceded in death by one son, Tony Zucca, one grandson, Deno Zucca and 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

    Hazel was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Highland; Eastern Star Marigold Chapter; and P.O.W. Club.  She was a homemaker and had worked for the Marine Garment Factory for 15 years.

    Visitation: Wednesday, July 11, 2007 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. @ May Funeral Home and Thursday, July 12th from 8:00 A.M. until time of service.

    Funeral:  Thursday @ 11:00 A.M. @ May Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Trover, Pastor, 1st United Methodist Church, Pocahontas, officiating.

    Interment:  Robinson Cemetery, Pocahontas, IL
