    David Huelsman,70, of Highland, IL, died Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Memorial Hospital East, Belleville IL.

    David was born April 27, 1946, in Hecker, IL, to Henry and Rosella (nee Braun) Huelsman; after their death, he was raised by Victor and Eunice (nee Schneider) Braun. On July 22, 1994, he married Cyndi Catlett in Las Vegas, NV.

    He was a member of the Highland Gun Club. He liked St. Louis Cardinals baseball, racing, and his dog, Edee. One of his passions was to “tinker” in his garage. He was a wonderful husband and father, and loved his family very much.

    He is survived by his Wife, Cyndi Huelsman, Highland, IL; Daughters, Julie (Troy) Case, St. Louis, MO, and Krista Huelsman, Belleville, IL; Son, Adam (partner John Mancuso) Tucker, St. Louis, MO; Brothers, Hank Huelsman, Cahokia, IL, Jim (Pat) Huelsman, Fairview Heights, IL, Dick (Judy) Huelsman, Belleville, IL; Sister, Marilyn (Tom) Ernst, The Villages, FL; many wonderful nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his Parents, Henry and Rosella Huelsman, and second Parents, Victor and Eunice Braun; Sister-in-Law, Barbara Huelsman; Niece, Laurie Huelsman.

    Memorials may be made to the Gateway Pet Guardians or Highland JayCee’s Dog Park.

    Visitation: Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL, and Friday, April 28, 2017, from 9:45 to 10:30 am, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

    Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, April 28, 2017, at 10:30 am, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

    Interment at a later date.
