Cora A. Meyer, nee Bergheger, 83, of Summerfield, IL died May 24, 2007 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville. She was born June 6, 1923 in Mascoutah, IL to Joseph and Mary (Rebenstorf) Bergheger, both deceased. She married Clifford Meyer on August 18, 1940 in Warrenton, MO and he died November 14, 1998.
Also preceded in death by one son, Paul Meyer, one sister, Marie Juenger.
Cora was of the Methodist persuasion and had attended Zion UCC in New Baden, IL in recent years. She loved gardening and her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Robert (Tedra) Meyer, Trenton, IL; Judy (Jim) Korte, New Baden, IL; Steven (Kathy) Meyer, Decatur, IL; five grandchildren, Douglas (Patricia) Meyer, Summerfield, IL: Nicholas (Carmalee) Korte, Nashville, IL; Amanda Korte, New Baden, IL: David (Cristy) Meyer, Decatur, IL; Charles Meyer, Decatur, IL; four great grandchildren, Meagan Meyer, Trent Korte, Josh & Megan Kroll; a twin sister, Nora Becker, Smithton, IL.
Visitation: Saturday, May 26, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 A.M. @ Meyer Funeral Home.
Funeral: Saturday, May 26th @ 10:00 A.M. Meyer Funeral Home with Rev. Gretchen Starrit officiating.
Interment: Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL
