Betty L. Hoolihan (Nee Brant), 85, of Lebanon, IL, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Betty was born November 18, 1929, to Albert and Velma (Nee Schuetz) Brant, in Lebanon, IL. On December 4, 1948, she married Roland J. “Hooli” Hoolihan, at St. Paul’s Parsonage, Lebanon, IL.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Women’s Guild, Senior Citizen’s and Eta Phi Zeta Soriarty. She loved bowling and did so until last year. Betty loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to watch St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Velma Brant; her husband, Roland Hoolihan; son, Randy Hoolihan; brother, Albert Brant, at birth.
Betty is survived by sons, Gary (Candi) Hoolihan, Belleville, IL, Craig Hoolihan, Summerfield, IL; grandchildren, Chris Hoolihan, Suzanne (Kyle) Stephens, Shannon Hoolihan, Stacey Hoolihan, Sharolynn (Darryl) Tyler, Craig J. (Ashley) Hoolihan, Jesse Hoolihan; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnn (George) Korte, Highland, IL; aunt, Doris Vrell, Lebanon, IL; daughter-in-law, Brenda (Timothy Hughes) Hoolihan; nieces and nephews.
