    Betty D'Amico of Lebanon went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2007.  She was 79.

    Born Electra Betty Kapernaros on January 23, 1928 in Lowell, Massachusetts, Betty married her loving husband, Archie D'Amico on September 23, 1950 in New York City, New York.  Betty and Archie moved to Lebanon in 1966 where she served as the Librarian for the Lebanon Public Library for 23 years.  She was a member of the Woman's Club in addition to being a fabulous homemaker.  She enjoyed reading, cooking and doing crossword puzzles.

    Betty is survived by Archie and four sons;  Michael (Oriana) of Troy, Michigan; Stephen (Andrea) of Clermont, Florida;  Paul (Donna) of Piedmont, Missouri; and David (Terrie) of Keller, Texas.  Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Anastasia (Lee) Garner and brother, Lou (Dolores) Kapernaros.

    Friends may call Sunday evening March 18th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Meyer Funeral Home, and a Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lebanon on Monday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. with Msgr. Jim Margason, Fr. Jim Dougherty and Fr. Jim Voelker officiating.  Burial later in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lebanon, IL
