    Barbara M. Ogaz (Nee Fryer), 88, of Sonoma, CA, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at her daughter’s home in Highland, IL, fortified by sacraments.

    Barbara was born July 25, 1927 to Lawrence and Lucy (Nee Thompson) Fryer, in Tremonton, UT.  On June 19, 1948 she married Lawrence Ogaz, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ogden, UT.

    She was a member of St. Francis Scolano, Sonoma, CA.  She was a homemaker for 9 children, later she owned and operated a welding/industrial supply company with her husband.  Barbara liked to sew; when her children were young, she would sew their clothing, for her grandchildren, she sewed teddy bears and dolls.  She was an avid reader and a good cook.  While living with her daughter she enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball games with her son-in-law.

    Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Lucy Fryer; 1 son, David Ogaz; brother, Stanley Fryer; sister, Evone Swertfiger.

    She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Ogaz; 8 children, Mary Ann (Norman) Wirz, Highland, IL, Ron (Debra) Ogaz, Los Gatos, CA, Teresa Ogaz, Necedah, WI, Judith Jones, Sonoma, CA, Marti (Stephen) Moran, San Diego, CA, Jeannette (Richard) Tholcke, Napa, CA, James (Michelle) Ogaz, Williams, CA, Karen Murray, Necedah, WI; 37 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren;  brother, Ross Fryer, Ft Collins, CO. 

    Memorials may be made for Masses.
