William “Jake” Jacoby, 61, of Highland, IL, died Friday, February 03, 2012, at his residence, with his family by his side.
Jake was born January 6, 1951, in Hannibal, MO, to Amos and Dorothy (nee Hedges) Jacoby. On May 13, 1972, he married Patricia “Patty” Stock at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.
Jake was co-owner, with his wife, Patty, at Patty-Cakes in Highland. He was a partner at Midwest Medical Supply, he was a Systems Analyst at Computime, St. Louis, MO, and he was a Vice President at Midwest Medical Supply, Vice President at Tristar Industrial Supply and I T Manager at C T Supply.
He was a member and Past President of Highland Country Club, Highland, IL.
He was a loving husband and father. He loved to travel, play golf and he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loved to cook. He had a very good sense of humor and people loved the way he made them laugh. He was a very optimistic person.
Jake is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patty” Jacoby, Highland, IL; his mother-in-law, Marcella Stock (nee Wapelhorst), Highland, IL; 3 children, Adam T. Jacoby, Crested Butte, CO, Trisha (Richard) Seelen, Belleville, IL, Leah (fiancée Michael Rodriguez) Jacoby, Collinsville, IL; 1 brother, Ronald (Mary) Jacoby; 3 brothers-in-law, Mark (Corrie) Stock, Donald (Michelle) Stock, John (Karen) Stock; 1 sister-in-law, Laura Stock; numerous nieces and nephews, especially, Gayle (John) Gray, Steve (Erica) Jacoby.
He is also survived by his extended family, Michael, Glenn and Timothy Horack; Karen Luebbert, Lori Bell and Deborah Brogan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Dorothy Jacoby; father-in-law, Joseph T. Stock; 1 brother-in-law, Joseph M. Stock.
Memorials may be made to the Jake Jacoby Memorial Fund to erect a bench at Highland Country Club, hole #4.
